A mind miner is always busy. Whether they're out fishing for ideas in the pools of our collective unconscious, or digging deep within our own subconsciousness, or flying kites during brainstorms, no matter the methods or the means, or wherever the faintest ideas are, they are there, somehow, always bringing them back home..

Weekender
This old drawing was part of a warm up that I did by doing some automatic writing. The point is to write out without stopping or editing as you go along and seeing what comes up. It was done in part to loosen up, to lighten up if possible and to tear down the mental blocks.
Anyways, I'm thinking of posting old sketches on the weekends but will take it easy on myself even if I don't post old stuff here. For now I like the idea of taking the weekends off to recharge the batteries. There are tons of stuff just laying around, some of which still needs to be scanned in. If I'm not drawing then I could do some scanning instead if I'm up for it. That way low maintenance work keeps the posting habit going without burning out the brain.
It's a big deal to me to post daily since it is a struggle right now just to keep up. But with a no pressure philosophy behind it, whether its a 10 minute doodle or a 23 hour study (thanks to the sketchamathon blog for that) it just makes it that much easier to breathe. Granted, I could see the majority of my posts being 10 minutes at least just to get it out of the way, but over time I will probably warm up to the idea and improve with bigger, detailed, conceptual-like posts or whatever. Here's hoping as I really do want to be much, MUCH, more than this level I'm at. We're never happy with what we have right? We always want MORE. That's to be expected. So even though I'm pushing it now, I know that it will get easier down the road.
Also, an update for "All plucked out".
