Shellacking Shenanigans

I woke up late today so the post is coming sooner than later. As long as I beat the midnight deadline then it's all good. I just wanted it done sooner than later though. It's almost as I'm fearful of skipping the daily posting habit. =P

Drew this while watching a hockey game on TV. I'm able to channel in all the things that I love about the dynamic sport into these drawings. It's usually drawn from memory of player interviews that I read online as part of my news reading, just all the things they've said and their love for the sport and then being able to apply their energy/ love to my art afterwards. Every time I look up at the screen it's a constant reminder to stay positive and hope for the best. It's taking some effort but so far so good. It's also why I posted the Sidney Crosby commercial from yesterday.

The image bottom right is a battle-suit. I saw this as a glimpse of it as soon as I woke up today while laying in bed. I could see it so vividly in my mind's eye. The drawing is not exactly how it looks, what you see in your mind doesn't always translate so well but I'm still liking the fact that it happened. After a year and a half of meditations, this sort of thing is finally paying off. It's what I wanted. But then again, it could be working with dream recall as well and being able to direct it to the things I want to see or draw for today. *knocks on wood* I hope this keeps up indefinitely.

The stomach-shell is part inspired by another drawing using the same design. I'll scan that in next post.
